For me this week’s independent study is all about earthy maximalism. Lately, I am in love with the color brown. I used to be totally indifferent, but now I appreciate how essential the color brown is to all designs. Without its richness and depth, many designs would fall flat. While it is often humbly lingering in the background, we take notice of the brighter, flashier colors used in our world. The Savanah wouldn’t be what it is without the sandy colored grass and tree trunks painting the sky. So thank you brown, nothing would work without you.
